OUR CLASSROOMS
DAISYS
Our Daisys Classroom (ages infant-early toddler) is full of love and laughter! The daily care is centered around play, love, and discovery! Infants are encouraged to grow and develop physically, emotionally, mentally and socially. Some of the daily activities include singing, dancing, reading, manipulation of objects to stimulate and improve hand/eye coordination, as well as free play on the floor where they learn how to play with others. We introduce basic sign language to help them communicate needs/wants. As they approach 12 months old their day is a little more structured. Children begin to eat table food instead of baby food and learn to feed themselves. Some of their daily activities include books, puzzles, stacking blocks, legos, and pretend play (kitchen, baby dolls, cars). They begin a more structured routine that includes circle time, outside play, art projects, nap time and small manipulative play. We begin to introduce their first words! This age loves learning to tell us what they are eating, names of toys, friends names in their class, labeling parts of their body. We provide cribs and name mats. Cribs are reserved for sleeping only and infants are always closely monitored. Staff is well trained on the subject of SIDS as well as Infant/Child CPR and First Aid.
WILDFLOWERS
Our Wildflowers Classroom (older toddler-older twos) is full of new activities. The adventures continue as we hope to instill a sense of confidence and accomplishment throughout the day. We keep a fun and structured routine as our kids continue learning social skills, sharing with classmates, and accepting limits. Other curriculum includes learning primary colors, learning body parts, finger plays, story time, nursery rhymes, ABC's, outside discovery play, animals and animal sounds, transportation, pretend play, art activities, music time, large muscle development, potty training, etc. Morning and afternoon snacks are provided, as well as a nap mat.
